Enable Subsidy - Free Eye Examination and Spectacles*

 

What is the Enable Subsidy?

An annual subsidy which helps with the costs of children's vision tests and glasses. At Buchanan Optometrists, your child's Enable subsidy will normally cover the cost of exams and glasses with no charge to you*

Who can get the Spectacle Subsidy?

Any of your children, aged 15 or younger, BUT ONLY IF you or your child has a current Community Services Card or a High Use Health Card. The subsidy is available again after 12 months.

What does the subsidy cover?

The Spectacles subsidy can help with the costs of your child's:

  • vision test
  • glasses (frame and lenses or repairs) 
  • eye patches (if required)
